What's the difference between a full magnifier and a bifocal?+
Full magnifier — the entire lens is magnified, so everything in your field of view is sharp. Best for close detail work. Bifocal — only a segment is magnified, with clear distance vision above, better when you switch between near and far. Both are $19.99.
Can I wear these under a welding helmet?+
Yes — the low-profile frame is a shop favorite for wearing under a welding helmet or face shield for magnification. Note Mag-Safe is not IR-rated; for infrared protection with magnification, see MAGweld (IR3 / IR5).
Which frame size should I choose?+
Medium (Standard) fits the widest range of adult faces and is the top seller — start here if unsure. Small suits narrower faces, Large (Classic) gives more coverage. The Medium is also the only fit offered in both Clear and Smoke lenses.
What magnification strength do I need?+
Mag-Safe comes in +1.25, +1.50, +1.75, +2.00, +2.25, +2.50, and +3.00. Match your reading-glasses strength. If you don't know it, most general close work lands around +1.50 to +2.00.
Are these actually ANSI safety rated?+
