Frequently asked questions
What makes the MAGshot different from bifocal safety glasses?
Unlike bifocal glasses which have a small magnified segment in one area of the lens, the MAGshot uses a full lens magnifier — meaning your entire field of view is magnified. This gives you complete, edge-to-edge clarity with no split vision or blind zones. It's purpose-built for hunters and shooters who need total visual clarity across the whole lens.
Can I use the MAGshot with my prescription?
Yes. The MAGshot adapter can be removed and fitted by your optician for a custom prescription lens. This makes it one of the only hunting safety glasses that can be fully customized to your exact Rx — no separate prescription glasses needed.
Can I remove just one magnifier for single-eye use?
Absolutely. The MAGshot's left and right magnifiers are individually removable. You can remove one side entirely for single-eye magnification, or mix and match different strengths for each eye to match your exact vision needs.
What lens colors are available?
The MAGshot comes in three anti-fog lens colors: Clear, Smoke, and Yellow. Clear is best for indoor ranges and low light, Smoke for bright daylight, and Yellow for improving contrast in overcast or dawn/dusk conditions — popular with turkey and deer hunters.
Are the MAGshot glasses safety rated?
Yes. The MAGshot is ANSI Z87.1+ certified with shatterproof polycarbonate lenses and UV400 protection. They meet OSHA impact standards and are built to handle the rigors of the field.
What magnification strengths does the MAGshot come in?
The MAGshot is available in strengths from +1.25 to +2.50. Because the MAGshot uses full lens magnification across the entire lens, the available range is more focused than bifocal options — designed to cover the most common shooting and hunting vision needs.
